All of us are touched by big data and new data everyday, and its influence is multiplying. By the end of an average day in this early twenty-first century, human beings searching the internet will amass eight trillion gigabytes of data. This staggering amount of information can tell us a great deal about who we really are—the fears, desires, and behaviors that drive us, the conscious and unconscious decisions we make, the way we associate ourselves whether you fall under the majority or minority group. It is also with the internet - the virtual world, that causes us to gradually steer away from who we are and disconnect from our physical environment. Whether you are a male, female, black, white, Asian, Native American, straight, gay, bi, special (and whatever the terms there may be), you are who you are and that’s what you are - and be very proud of it. Don't change your name, don't change your accents don't change your heritage, don't denigrate a humble upbringing. Be true to yourself and you’ll ring true to the world.
