As we approaches the end of January, we are soon entering a new beginning in the lunar calendar and celebrate Chinese New Year. Spring cleaning has been a tradition that’s practiced in the springtime. The act of thoroughly cleaning the house, clearing heavy dust, removing unwanted things making way for fresh new additions that brings joy to the house, and to our mind. 新年快樂 as what we would always greet one another first, it means be happy in the new year, always choose happiness over anger, fear, hatred, jealousy, self doubt. Nothing has to happen in order for you to be happy. It’s all in your own mind. Happiness doesn’t just happen on festive season, make it happen throughout the year. 出入平安 is what we all want, to stay safe and peaceful when we are out and back home. If you find yourself at the cross road having to make difficult decision, choose one that brings you peace at heart. In this tech century, it is not easy to find a moment of peace. Really. But hey! Live for your own life, don’t live on others’ life. When you have peace and grounded in your heart, you will naturally find clarity in anything you do.
Nothing has to happen in order for you to be happy.
It’s all in your own mind.
This coming spring, remember to do thorough spring cleaning of your soul, mind and your physical space, invite happiness（快樂）and peace （平安）into the house every morning, not the rats please.
