What is your routine?
Updated: Apr 14, 2020
Do you have a daily routine? Most people are not used to working from home #WFH , let alone forced to stay at home as your company may be temporarily closed.
It can get really bored and restless if there is no routine set in place.
We are what we repeatedly do.
Excellence then is not an act, but a habit.

Successful people follow a fixed schedule as they know a fixed schedule helps them build productivity habits over time. By creating a routine and following it is an excellent way of becoming your best self, it gives you a laser-like focus during your peak productive hours. Here is what you can do: Make a list of daily to-do tasks. Nothing is too big or too small to be included in your list. Taking little breaks, making coffee can also be on your list. Then, develop a schedule to carry out the tasks according to your energy level at different time of the day. You can break your day into morning, afternoon and evening. If morning is your peak energy period, then arrange most of the heavy task to be done in the morning. There may be many activities going around throughout the day or situation may change due to sudden family commitments since you are at home with your family members around. Because of that, your schedule may deviate from what you have planned, and that is perfectly fine.
The purpose of setting a routine is to keep the momentum going and get most of the challenging tasks checked. Do buffer in time for flexibility and welcome changes. Getting some things done is afterall better than feeling lost and nothing done at all. One good mobile application you can use to set your routine is call “TickTick”. This app allows you to list down your task, set a date, priority and set a reminder. The best thing to do is to check off a task when it’s completed (with a ting! sound). If you are working on a group project, the group members can also create the to-do list and check off the tasks together within your private view. Keep each other on track, sounds fun right! Remember, be your best self, the success of it lies in your daily habits. Disclaimer: I have no business interest with "TickTick”, I am just a consumer.
